Iran and Persian Gulfs States have been traditional business partners for a long time. Iranians were among the first group setting up the business in U.A.E. The oil boom and development of shipping facilities to Iran created further opportunities for maximizing the trade between two countries. The creation of trade and business environment facilitates a better understanding for some prominent Iranian business men / women to form a platform for fostering relationships between the two countries, Iran and U.A.E. This initiated the idea of establishing a non-political / non -profit organization in 1992, Iran Business Council. The founding members regulated the function of chambers of Commerce in 1996. It officially functions as the body of the Iranian Business Community in U.A.E. IBC established a forum in 1992 for leading prominent Iranian businesses. IBC welcomes the non-Iranian individuals who are interested in Iran / U.A.E. business. The main objectives and activities of IBC can be summarized as: To foster a better understanding, to expand commercial relationship between Iran & U.A.E. To hold regular meetings to exchange views and to provide up-to-date information about commercial activities in both countries. To organize seminars by inviting prominent personalities from the trade and other professional & Government Organizations. To Invite prominent personalities from the banking and other financial institutions to brief members on various facilities available in both countries. To interact with Government departments to help resolve trade disputes and also to improve shipping and transport services between the two countries. To promote the business interests of the members.
